Toyota's only all-electric vehicle is getting more expensive for the coming year. Based on recent order guide data, the 2024 Toyota bZ4X will see as much as a $1,070 price increase. While the price hike isn't quite as severe as other bZ4X trims, the model's base price is set to exceed $44,000.

At the entry level, the 2024 Toyota bZ4X XLE has an MSRP of $43,070 excluding destination, while the all-wheel-drive variant has a sticker price of $45,150. In both cases, these represent price increases of $1,070 when compared with the current EV's MSRPs of $42,000 and $44,080, respectively.

The 2024 Toyota bZ4X Limited will soon set you back $47,180, or $49,260 with all-wheel drive. Here, the price hikes are $480 compared to the 2023 Toyota bZ4X which you can still find on sale. Toyota hasn't released official 2024 bZ4X specs and the EPA website doesn't list range estimates yet.

At $43,070, the bZ4X will be almost as expensive as a 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime. The popular plug-in hybrid has an MSRP of $43,440, just $370 more than the all-electric bZ4X. The EV was developed with Subaru, which sells a similar model called the Solterra we don't have 2024 pricing for yet.

The 2023 Toyota bZ4X can travel up to 252 miles, more than the 227-mile range of the 2024 Solterra. While the SUVs are very similar, Subaru Solterra incentives have been a lot more aggressive, with a $399-per-month, $0-down lease in time for the holidays on the 2023 Subaru Solterra Premium.

Although the bZ4X doesn't qualify for a federal tax credit, a loophole enables Toyota to pass along a commercial tax incentive on leases. Based on dealer incentive bulletins, we're already seeing a $7,500 lease incentive on the 2024 Toyota bZ4X as well as interest rates starting at just 1.9% APR.

With a mandatory destination charge (currently $1,350 on the 2023 Toyota bZ4X), the model's starting price is set to exceed $44,000. At the top of the range, the most expensive bZ4X will approach $51,000. Meanwhile, the cheapest Tesla Model Y starts at $45,380 before a $7,500 EV tax credit.
